Building Engineering Services Association (BESA)
BESA is the UK’s leading trade association for building engineering service contractors – representing the interests of firms active in design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings.
SKILLcard, a BESA group company, is the industry recognised smartcard for the mechanical sector of the engineering services industry, with over 57,000 active cards in circulation currently. Working with Reference Point, SKILLcard is now able to offer SKILLcard holders and employers a host of additional benefits with access to SkillSight’s Training Management Solution, transforming each smart SKILLcard into a fully accessible skills passport.

Joint Industry Board for Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering Services (JIB-PMES)
The JIB-PMES is the registration body for the plumbing industry in England and Wales. The JIB-PMES provides registration and grading services to companies in the plumbing and mechanical engineering services sector, along with a range of other benefits and services.
One of the main functions of the Joint Industry Board is to provide JIB UK-PHMES registration cards to operatives employed in plumbing, heating and mechanical services sectors. Working with Reference Point means that JIB UK-PHMES smartcard holders and employers will also be able to access a host of additional benefits. These benefits are especially relevant for operatives who work on multiple sites, allowing cardholders to house their career, qualifications and training in one place thereby acting as a 'skills passport'. This information can be accessed via a PC, smart phone, card reader or tablet and will benefit both cardholder and employer in reducing time and costs in accessing this information.

Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA)
TICA has been representing its members in the industrial and commercial insulation sector since 1957.
We are the government approved provider of the L2 and L3 apprenticeships for Thermal Insulation and administer the TICA Skill Card scheme.
Through quality training and best practice, TICA is committed to ensuring a highly skilled workforce and an industry fully equipped to provide ever increasing energy efficiency.
Asbestos Control and Abatement Division of TICA (ACAD)
ACAD is the Asbestos Control and Abatement Division of the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA). ACAD was created in 1993 to provide advice and support to our members as part of our central aim of raising standards in the Asbestos removal sector.
Through quality training and the identification and promotion of best practice, ACAD is committed to ensuring a highly skilled workforce and an industry fully equipped to eradicate the UK asbestos legacy.
ACAD members operate throughout the UK including supporting the construction and engineering sectors, often as a precursor stage enabling projects in the surety that the UK’s biggest occupational killer has been safely and thoroughly removed.
